Abstract

The pot is made in two sections (1, 3) which fit together. One section (1) comprises an upper portion to hold the soil for the plant, and has a lower hollow extension (2) which holds a block of latex foam (5) or other rot-proof synthetic foam to supply water to the plant in the soil by capillary action. The other section (3) of the pot consists of a container for water, with an aperture (4) at the top to receive the extension of the upper portion. The aperture can be surrounded by a reinforcing collar.
