Description
The innovation relates to a multi-part pot for plant cultivation according to the generic term of claim 1.
The problem of maintaining plants in pots is to ensure a sufficient, not too much and not too little, water supply. To this end, the plants must be watered regularly in the correct dosage, with the watering intervals varying depending on the plant, location, pot type and plant substrate, but usually exceeding one week.
There are already different methods and plant pots that are designed to allow for an extension of watering intervals. The best known method is so-called hydroponics, where the usual soil substrate is replaced by granular particles with a high liquid retention capacity. The particles (expanded clay granules) are able to enrich and store the water from the bottom of the pot with intensive moisture to the surface with greatly reduced moisture, without causing waterlogging if the system is thoroughly rinsed with neutral water once or twice a year, or if the water level in the bottom of the culture pot does not exceed approx. 5 mm, as can be achieved with the hydro tank (birdbath principle).
Furthermore , pots are known in which a water reservoir is provided in the lower area. The plant substrate, in this case soil, is placed on an intermediate floor above it. The water supply is via a type of suction wick, suction flap or a downward-facing pipe (shaft) which is arranged on the surface of the intermediate floor in contact with the plant substrate and dips into the water reservoir through openings. Due to the gradient between the water reservoir and the soil, a suction tension is generated in the wick, suction flap or the downward-facing pipe filled with soil, which ensures a constant supply of water as long as there is water in the reservoir, but in this case results in waterlogging and a lack of oxygen in the substrate. The water supply via the pipe filled with soil can easily become critical because soil does not retain its shape and the water in the reservoir washes away the soil in the pipe and the suction contact breaks off. However, these systems are only suitable for soil cultures that require a drying phase between each watering or filling cycle and therefore cannot represent an alternative to conventional soil culture using the conventional watering method. In hydroponics, the small surface area of the wick of the perforated strip^ or the thin, non-fluffy cloth material such as Rivira is not sufficient to ensure satisfactory contact with the granulate (e.g. expanded clay granulate).
Ein weiteres Problem besteht darin, daß die Pflanzenwurzeln durch die Löcher, durch das Tuch, durch das Rost, durch die seitlichen Zwischenspalten, durch die Belüftungsschlitze insAnother problem is that the plant roots can penetrate through the holes, through the cloth, through the grate, through the side gaps, through the ventilation slots into the

ins Wasserreservoir wachsen können, was zu Oberversorgung, Verfaulung ect. fUhrt.can grow into the water reservoir, which leads to oversupply, rotting, etc.
The aim of the innovation is therefore to create a two-component granulate plant pot that allows a secure long-term supply of nutrient solution, where it is unimportant whether the water reservoir is completely full, only slightly full or has a constant fill level, so that no dry phase in the reservoir and plant substrate is necessary between each watering or filling process.
The problem is solved by a pot with the characterizing features of claim 1.
A first important feature is that the intermediate floor of the new pot is covered with a flat, highly absorbent, dimensionally stable granulate. The flat design offers a particularly large contact surface (saturated moisture layer) to the plant substrate, so that the supply based on hydroponic granulate is possible, whereby the plant is transplanted into the plant pot with a greatly reduced ball of soil covered with granulate substrate (expanded clay).
A second important feature is that the connecting section for establishing the suction connection to the water reservoir is a shaft that extends from the intermediate floor to the bottom of the water reservoir. This shaft is filled with the same absorbent, dimensionally stable granulate as that on the intermediate floor. The shaft has drainage openings in the lower area.
Ausgehend von diesen Merkmalen ist es denkbar, daß zur Herstellung der Saugverbindung in dsn Schacht ein Saugdecht oder Tuchstreifen angebracht istä die in das flächig ausgebreitete Granulat auf den Zwischenboden eingreift, oder ein Saugdocht, Tuchstreifen durch ein kleines Loch oder Schlitz in denBased on these features, it is conceivable that a suction wick or cloth strip is installed in the shaft to create the suction connection - which engages in the flatly spread granulate on the intermediate floor, or a suction wick, cloth strip through a small hole or slot in the

A further feature of the innovation is that the openings provided in the intermediate floor serve exclusively to create a suction connection to the water reservoir and that these openings are largely filled with the absorbent material, in particular that the shaft filled with the absorbent, dimensionally stable granulate has at least one seepage opening in the lower area of the reservoir pot base, which is also the only suction connection to the water reservoir.
It is understood that the suction connection can be installed at any location and in any number on the intermediate floor.
It is understood that the pots, which are explained in more detail below with the aid of drawings, have corresponding recesses between the pots or indentations in the intermediate bottom edge, which allow the water reservoir to be refilled or a pouring pipe to be inserted.
Auf den GbertopfbocFig. 1 shows the two-component granulate plant pot as an example, which is firmly connected to its outer pot 1 and inner pot 2 by the press fit 9. The inner pot 2 has a recess 3, which forms the filling shaft 3a with the wall 1a and 2a. The volume of the recess 3 must be as small as possible, but large enough that the consumer can set a water level indicator if he so wishes. The inner pot has a pipe (shaft) 4 pointing from the intermediate floor 7 into the reservoir 11, which also functions as a spacer. In the middle of the shaft base plate 4' there is a small hole (opening) 6, which is the only connection from the reservoir to the inside of the pot. On the inner pot base
There is a fleece 5 into which the shaft 4 engages, so that the small opening 6 in the shaft base plate 41 is covered. The nutrient solution (water) 11' slowly penetrates through the fleece 5, then through the opening 6 into the tube t# (shaft) filled with highly absorbent, dimensionally stable granulate 8. The intermediate floor is covered with the same granulate 8a and has the task of releasing the sucked-in nutrient solution to the coarse-grained, less absorbent substrate 16. The nutrient solution (water) is filled into the shaft 3a and rises in the reservoir 11 against the intermediate floor 7. The filling process is finished when the water rises upwards in the shaft.
Der Schacht (Rohr) 4 ist ebenfalls wie Fig. 1 mit saugfähigem, formbeständigem Granulat gefüllt, daß sich auf den Zwischenboden 7 flächig 8a ausbreitet und von einerFig. 2 shows the two-component granulate plant pot as an example of design, whereby the inner pot 2 or the intermediate base plate 7 with an upwardly extending edge 13 with the spacers 14 are loosely inserted 9a, 15 into the upper pot 1. These examples of design are filled with water via a pipe or shaft between the wall 1a and 2a or 1a and the surrounding edge 13. (The filling pipe or shaft is not shown). Here too, a pipe 4 formed by the intermediate floor plate 7 is arranged, as in the embodiment Fig. 1, but here a fleece 5 can be dispensed with and additional holes 6' can be formed in the shaft wall (pipe) 4". The inner pot 2 has slots 13a extending from the upper edge of the peripheral edge 13 as substrate ventilation. The embodiment without an inner pot wall 2a has the substrate ventilation through the slot 15. The slot 15 must be so close to the wall la that the substrate 16 Fig. 1 cannot fall into the reservoir 11. The shaft (pipe) 4 is also filled, as in Fig. 1, with absorbent, dimensionally stable granulate that spreads out over the intermediate floor 7 in a flat manner 8a and is surrounded by a ■f 1 lire JnUaJ f «>«tiiM/>k1 äVti *va» AKslA^lfnl a^ + A &Ggr; V an ^a* muw O1»f<i **«*!% s 14>&lgr;&mgr; \*&lgr;&Agr; v**l■f 1 lire JnUaJ f «>«tiiM/>k1 äVti *va» AKslA^lfnl a^ + A &Ggr; V an ^a* muw O1»f<i **«*!% s 14>&lgr;&mgr;\*&lgr;&Agr; v**l
