Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a sailing or towed nautical vehicle to allow very reactive and rapid navigation with tacking and changes of trajectory allowing it to operate on small and large surface water bodies.
The invention can be used on all natural water bodies (sea, pond, river, lake etc.) as well as on water bodies recreated in covered rooms which can allow demonstrations or competitions.
The invention can be used with sail or without sail in this case it is towed by a motor boat in the same way as for water skiing the maneuverability giving it the possibility of evolving by doing figures and sinuous courses.
Among the existing nautical sailing or towed vehicles, there is no model that can allow navigation by linking tack and change of trajectory on short journeys.
Sailing or towed nautical devices require a relatively significant physical effort (catamaran windsurfing, water skiing) therefore an approach that is sometimes difficult to use and discourage beginners.
The present invention aims to give sensations still unknown. The pleasure of driving a machine with a minimum of effort and without particular skills for navigation, to have the feeling of driving an automobile with the feeling of evolving in the space without bridge or trampoline with only water under you.The pilot is attached to a harness and leans on the structure by the feet.
le pilote peut se mettre partiellement dans l'eau pour bloquer le déplacement de l'engin pendant une attente de de départ par exemple ,cette possibilité facilite la mise à l'eau de l'engin .Sa légèreté est aussi un plaisir, facilement tranportable car démontable ,il peut être fixé sur la galerie d'une voiture ou mis une remorque légère. the pilot can get partially into the water to block the movement of the machine while waiting for departure for example, this possibility facilitates the launching of the machine. Its lightness is also a pleasure, easily transportable Because it can be dismantled, it can be attached to the roof rack of a car or put on a light trailer.
The invention relates more precisely to a sailing or towed watercraft characterized by two floats of the planing style (each equipped with a rudder) the longitudinal axis of each float is parallel in the 2 planes to the axis of movement of the contraption.
L'arceau a également pour fonction d'in
The floats are linked together by a structure which
is fixed by articulated elements and which allows the flow
to be mobile. A structure without bridge or trampoline allows a pilot to catch himself on it by means of a harness system fixed on a fixed hoop
of the structure and mobile from front to back by 2 points
Each float has at least 1 rudder controlled by cable by a system located on the upper part of the ar
called ceau (centralized and interactive system) .The floats
are controlled in rotation in their longitudinal axes by cables which are connected to the same control system as
that of the rudders. The arch also has the function of in
tilt the sail back when the pilot pulls on that
him through his harness. the pilot while moving modifies the incidence of his weight compared to the
center of gravity of the craft.

These figures illustrate by way of example the application of the invention to the production of a sailing or towed vehicle.
L'arceau (2) permet par le point A10 de fixer un câble D2 avec son attache de harnais D3 et son système de réglage D4 représenté sur la fig 5.In general and as shown schematically in Figure 1 is reduced according to the invention to a device consisting of 2 floats 3 and 4 which are movable in rotation by the axes xx 'and yy'qui pass through the points of joints 6-7 and 8-9, the axes xx 'and yy' are fixed and parallel to each other. A structure connects the floats by joints 6-7 and 8-9, this structure is formed in such a way that it leaves free the passage between floats 3 and 4 to allow a pilot to settle down without leaning on a bridge or a trampoline the clearance is greater than 2 thirds of the length of the float from the rear of the craft , this structure 1 has a hoop 2 articulated at points 10 and 11, this hoop is perpendicular to the axes xx 'and yy' and is positioned so that the point of attachment of the harness fixing cable is in position forward relative to the center of gravity of the craft
Points 10 and 11 are on the center of gravity of the machine
The arch (2) allows by point A10 to fix a cable D2 with its harness clip D3 and its adjustment system D4 shown in fig 5.
The arch (2) has a cylindrical part 2-1 located at the top of it and in the middle of the width of the machine and perpendicular to the axis vv 'which passes through the points 10 and 11 and is parallel to the horizontal plane of the floats, the position of this cylindrical part can vary from 30O positioning angle on the plans, part 2-1 of the hoop receives the centralized and interactive control system defined by fig 2 and 9.
The arch (2) represented by FIG. 7 shows the 2 stops f2 and f3 which bear on the structure (1) when the arch (2) is recalled by the springs F2 which are themselves fixed on the structure.
The structure (1) has a fixing point for the mast of the sail (5). Fig 10 shows the draft mast for the mode of operation by traction, on the structure (l) is fixed a mast G5 in place of the sail mast at the point
E2 of the structure, this mast includes a hook G4 which holds the traction cable G3, a safety device G2 opens the hook in the event of a problem, G2 is attached to the pilot's harness, the mast allows the entire structure to pass under the cable after a rotation of 360.
The floats 3-4 and rudders 10-11 are controlled by sheaths C2 and A4 fitted with cables C1 and B1, these cable systems connect the floats and rudders to the interactive centralized control system (A) fig 1.
The float control shown in fig 3 shows the float 3 or 4 with its articulation B2 .ZZ 'is the axis of rotation of the float relative to the structure (1), this axis is perpendicular to the float in the 2 horizontal planes , the structure (1) has 2 supports 1.1 and 1.2 which are fixed on the structure (l), each support is positioned so as to be on the side of their respective traction point.
The ducts A4 are blocked on the supports 1.1 and 1.2, the cables B1 are guided by these ducts and are attached to the points B3 on either side of B2 2 springs B6 are interfaced between the fixing point B3 to be deform under the stress of the forces generated by the force of water on the floats.
The movement to the float is transmitted by the displacement of the cables B1 in their respective sheath, when one cable pulls the other lengthens and this movement is transmitted by the centralized system (A) fig 2.The floats have a rotation angle of plus or minus 500.This orientation changes the angle of attack relative to the body of water to oppose the lateral movement of the floats under the pressure of winds and currents.
Sur les bagues C3 sont fixés les câbles C1 qui arrivent par les gaines C2 fixées sur les flotteurs 3 ou 4 par des supports 7.Figure 4 shows us the rudder control elements 12 and 13 located on the rear of the floats, a bearing C4 crosses the thickness of it and guides an axis
C5 secured to the rudder 12 or 13, a control rod C6 is fixed to C4 perpendicular to C5 and perpendicular to the axis xx 'and yy' when the rudder is parallel to the axis xx 'and yy'. 2 rings C3 are on the rod C6 and adjustable along this rod to increase or decrease the amplitude of the rotational movement. On the rings C3 are fixed the cables C1 which arrive by the sheaths C2 fixed on the floats 3 or 4 by supports 7.
FIG. 2 represents the centralized and interactive control system for piloting the floats and rudders. The part F7 of the arch 2 receives a pulley A2 shouldered to receive 2 pins A7 perpendicular to this shoulder and diametrically opposite, these 2 pins allow the pulley Al to drive the pulley A2 in a plane perpendicular to the axis TT 'which is the axis of the part of the arch F7. These pins are also used to serve as ball joints on the steering wheel A1 which can also be oriented along an angle defined by the axis which crosses the part of the arch F7 and its perpendicular. The flywheel Al can be oriented by 50 on either side of its axis of rotation.
The ducts A4 and A4.1 are fixed to the hoop 2 by 2 supports A5 and A6, the cables B1 and B1.1 controlling the floats are positioned on the pulley A2, going around the pulley A2 at least 1800. Each support A5 and A6 will fix a cable which will pass through the bottom of the pulley and the other through the top. The pulley A2 has 4 grooves to guide the cables, these are fixed by All locking screws which are in the vertical position when the A7 pins are also vertical. By this principle when the pulley A2 rotates in the directions of rotation A12 or A13 under the action of the flywheel A1 the cables on the same side are wound and unrolled simultaneously, which makes it possible to transmit the movements to the floats 3 and 4 .
On the pulley A2 there are 2 supports fixed on the side of the pulley A2 on the side of the flywheel Al, the 2 sheaths C2 and C2.1 are fixed on the supports A3.
The 2 supports A3 each have a double pulley A9 which serves as an angle gear for the cables (C1) which arrive from the control of the rudders to be positioned perpendicular to the steering wheel Al. The cables C2 are parallel to the cables A4 so that they can rotate with the steering wheel
Al of 1800 minimum. C2 cables attached to the steering wheel
Al by fasteners A12, 2 by 2. At each fastener A 12 there is a cable from each rudder.
The flywheel Al is positioned on the shoulder of the pulley A2 and engages on the pins A7, two pins A8 stop the return of the flywheel. A clearance A13 on each side of the flywheel allows it to pivot. The assembly thus mounted, rotates with the pulley and can therefore be controlled at the same time as the control of the floats. The controls of each movement can be carried out together or separately, when the flywheel Al rotates the pulley A2 only the floats orient themselves. When the flywheel changes the angle a without rotation of the pulley A2, only the rudders s 'orient.
When the steering wheel turns the pulley A2 and changes the angle, the two movements orient and create interactivity.
Figure 9 shows more precisely the cables B1 and C1. The figure only partially shows the steering wheel Al to view the mounting of the gimbal style of its articulation.
FIG. 6 indicates all the points of the structure 1 without distinguishing their role which falls within the kinematics of the displacement of the sail, this view represents the structure 1 and the arch 2 with its points of articulations 10 and 11.
In the principle of the invention, the mast is fixed at point E2, a stay cable E13 is fixed to E1 and E8. The stay cables E14 and E15 are fixed between E8 and E7, each stay pass respectively through E3 and E4 for one side of the mast and via E5 and E6 for the other side up to point E7. Points E3, E4, E5, E6 are angle references. The sail is held to its listening E9 by an E7 halyard fixed to points E1O, E11 and E9, the points El to E6 are points of the structure 1 the point E7 is on the arch 2, the points E10 and Ell are fixed on the structure or on the floats (in the rear part and in the logitudinal axis thereof) ci.When the pilot pulls on point E7 by hoop 2, the shrouds E14 and E1S are in traction which makes point E8 pivot. The shroud E13 is equipped with a spring system E12 which deploys during movement
E8 when the pilot releases the tension on the stays E14 and E15 the power of the spring brings back the stays E14 and E15 to their initial positions, in operation the point
E9 descends when E7 pulls E8, automatic the sail moves under the pressure of the wind. The function makes it possible to move the center of gravity vélique towards the back by tail wind
The E12 system can be adjusted according to use.
E8 can move along E16 to modify the point of traction.
In fig 7 the pole 2 is shown alone with its stops F6 and F7 and its rapelle spring. In the upper part of the arch 2 there is a hook F1 which allows hooking point E7 of the control of the sail. The arch 2 is articulated at points 10 and 11. The springs F2 and F3 assist the return of the arch to the rest position.
The invention as described allows a pilot attached by a harness by the point A10 fixed on a hoop 2 to maneuver a steering wheel Al which actuates either the control of the floats 3 and 4 or the control of the rudders 12 and 13 or the inclination of the sail 5. The pilot moves relative to the structure 1 by changing his support points on this same structure and by the freedom left by the harness fixing system.
When the pilot directs the rudders 12 and 13, the movement generates a natural phenomenon of orientation of the floats 3 and 4 by the creation of a torque without the need to control the floats, this torque is explained by the principle of the rotation of a propeller in water indeed the rudder in this case represents a pale propeller and the float central part of it when the machine advances the float receives a force through the rudder 12 or 13 which tends to make it rotate with respect to the axes xx 'and yy' as soon as the rudder is oriented. The centralized and interactive control system of FIG. 2 makes it possible to position the position of the floats and the rudders one compared to others.
The whole of the description of the present invention is moreover not limited to the embodiments and implementations described and shown, but encompasses all variant embodiments and / or combinations of their various elements. the control of the floats, the rudders and the sail can have the same action with different designs, for example the control of the floats can be done by mechanical connecting rods directly connected to the cockpit, one can also create the movement of rotation of the floats by a system of jacks fixed on the structure and controlled by the cockpit .I1 in the same way for the control of the rudders, the same principles as for the floats can be applied .I1 is possible to have several rudders to improve the efficiency and distribution of efforts.
In the description of the invention, the steering system can use other techniques such as replacing the arch by a single arm fixed on the structure or shaping the interactive system (float, rudders and sail) under s a different shape, Example jet ski control lever.
The principle of the invention can be implemented on any structure which can receive a system of floats and rudders with interactive controls
In addition, the field of application of the invention as it is mentioned above, is not limited to the nautical field, it can also extend to the field of sliding on snow indeed the floats are in this case present skis and rudders on small rudders
The interactive system of the remaining movements the same.
