Abstract

The tab assembly for the opening and closing of a carton is fixed to the carton in its opening zone which is provided with a pre-cut. It comprises a peripheral frame (4) fixed to the carton around the opening perimeter. A hinged (11) cover (5) seals the opening. The cover is made from a single rigid component having two tabs, located either side of its articulation axis which is along one of the opening edges. The first part (7) forms a lever and the second part (8) ruptures the opening zone pre-cut under the action of the lever. The second part is clipped onto the frame periphery to ensure closing of the package after first use.
