Abstract

The holder comprises a plate (10) and a lock (12). The plate has an opening (14) with a protruding edge (18) for receiving a support and is arranged to provide cantilevered support and keep the glasses approximately horizontal. The plate is held parallel to the plane of the arm and overhangs the arm screw and hinge. The arm is inserted through a passage (22) in the lock and a protrusion (26) on the plate engages with the lock. A flexible tongue (32) is cut in the protrusion. A locking screw (30) is tightened in the lock so that the tongue is displaced until it presses against the arm, securing the holder to the arm.
