Abstract

Closure device, particularly for jambs of windows or the like, including an opening frame (3), equipped with at least one hinge (4) located on one side of a fixed case (2) comprising a rabbet (5) for receiving the opening frame, and an espagnolette bolt rod (7) carried by the side of the parallel opening frame and opposite the side comprising the hinge on the case. According to the invention, this device is characterised in that the espagnolette bolt rod is mounted slidingly in a groove (16) of the opening frame and includes, preferably at its ends, fixed lock bolts (9) projecting externally with respect to the rod, capable of interacting, plane upon plane with keepers (10) mounted opposite in the jambs, so that the movement of the rod on the opening frame inside its groove causes the lock bolts to escape from the keepers, allowing excursion of the opening frame with respect to the case, the keepers being located in housings (25) inside which they can retract counter to return springs (28) mounted at the bottom of these housings under the thrust exerted by the lock bolts when the opening frame is applied against the case.
