Abstract

The ski binding has a housing (2) fixed to the ski (3) and behind which is a support (7) plate on which the ski-boot toe rests. A one-piece sole-holder (11) has two opposite-facing side holder-blades. The sole-holder (11) and support plate (7) are joined transversely by pieces. Guide parts (19') are positioned on a baseplate (18) extending the housing (2) backwards, and on the housing (2) itself. The baseplate (2) guide part is formed by a slide rail while the guide part (19') of the housing (2) is formed of a back transverse ramp. Energy absorbers (13) consists of a spiral torsional or main spring with top and bottom arm extending backwards and positioned in the housing (2) chamber (17). USE/ADVANTAGE - The ski-binding release level is independent of frictional conditions under the effect of transverse stress.
