Abstract
Description
la présente einvention concerne un nouveau systeme d'échiquier permettant de se passer des pions ou des pièces d'un reu d'echecs ou d'un jeu de dames.the present invention relates to a new chessboard system making it possible to do without pawns or pieces of a chess game or a game of checkers.
Indeed, so far all these games have moving parts which sometimes have the advantage of being aesthetic but which above all have the disadvantage of getting lost easily and leaving their box at the slightest movement.
The invention enables this drawback to be remedied simply by eliminating the moving parts. These are displayed in two dimensions on a screen which can be liquid crystals or any other type. In addition to pieces or pawns, the black and white squares of a normal chessboard are displayed. The superimposition of a white piece on a black box is not a problem; on the other hand, the pieces which are on a box of their color are surrounded by a
tisert of the complementary color, i.e. a white piece on a white box is surrounded by a black border and vice versa
To move the parts, we use a transparent sensitive keyboard above the display screen. The different sensitive zones of this keyboard correspond exactly to the different white and black boxes of the display screen, this in order to allow the recognition of a box free of charge on pressing said keyboard.
The procedure for moving a part can therefore be as follows. Firstly, we press the box where the part is located 3 move, it will start to flash 3 to override that the microprocessor If recorded the order. We then press the box where we want to deposit the said document, a few moments later, it will be displayed there. The ltrocedure thus described above may be substituted by any other procedure characterized by the fact that the movement of parts will be carried out by successive pressing of sensitive boxes which may or may not be part of the transparent sensitive keyboard.
When starting the chess board, there is therefore a choice between two games. Either we play "Checkers" and in this case, we use all of the hundred squares of the chessboard, ten per side. The black and white boxes are displayed in the same way as each player's pawns. The pawns being round. or, le; recognizes whatever the coti of the chessboard where one is The displacement of these is carried out as described above. Either we play "Chess Game" and in this case we only use 64 boxes, 6 per side. The regular boxes e.
blanches s'affichent ainsi que les pièces de chaque jodeur.white lights are displayed as well as the parts of each joder.
Before the start of the game, each set of coins is turned towards the corresponding player, so each player sees the places of his opponent ai 'env er s. The first player starts by pressing on the piece he wants to move which has the effect of starting his clock and rotating his opponent's pieces to 160 degrees for better viewing. He then presses on the box where he wishes to deposit the said piece, which has the effect of stopping his clock, starting that of his opponent, and 3 again, rotating 180 degrees of all the pieces of the
And so on, each time a player deposits a coin, all of the coins in the game rotate to allow the
Next player to have a good vision of the game.
If the tactile chessboard is connected to a chess microprocessor, the unused zones can act as a control zone or display zone to allow a single person to play against the machine, or even to learn how to play. with the machine. The area to the left of the chessboard serves as a control area, that is to say that the touch screen remains valid to allow recognition of the orders given. The area at the bottom of the board serves as a viewing area for the various comments that the machine can make and therefore the touch boxes corresponding to this area are deactivated.
Also as an option, provision can be made to connect the microprocessor to a read-only memory support, this in order to allow the purchase of read-only memories connected to said support, these being able to contain various information, such as the recording some major parts with all the comments necessary for a good understanding
We will now describe by way of nonlimiting example, a particular embodiment of the invention with reference to the accompanying drawings in which - Figure 1 is an overview of the apparatus according to the invention - Figure 2 is a diagram block diagram of the entire apparatus according to the invention.
In Figure i, we can see the case (1) supporting the chessboard. A switch (2) is used to start the device. A selector (3) allows you to choose between chess and Checkers. Here, the device is in "Chess Game" configuration, that is to say that only 64 boxes are used, i I therefore remains on the left an area (4) serving as a control keyboard and in below, an area (5) serving as a display screen for displaying comments which is particularly useful when learning to play chess. On each side of the device, a small one (6) is reserved allowing the display of the playing time of each player.
In Figure 2, we can see a block diagram of the entire apparatus according to the invention. When pressing a box on the transparent sensitive keyboard (7), the interface (8) recognizes the box and transmits coordinates to the microprocessor 9). This processes them and transmits the flashing order to the corresponding box on the display screen (10) via its interface (il) when the second press on another box on the sensitive keyboard (7).
The microprocessor is informed in the same way. But this time, it stops the flashing of the previous box, transfers the piece that was there on the new box then returns all the pieces for the next move.
The microprocessor also manages the clocks and in the case of an intelligent chessboard, it plays instead. of the missing player. or learn to play beginners. All the cells of the sensitive keyboard store are managed in the same way.
We can also see the read-only memory support (12) connected to the microprocessor (9) capable of receiving read-only memories containing certain information.
The power supply to the device can be carried out either by batteries or rechargeable batteries in the case of use outside, or by a transformer plugging directly into the mains for use inside.
