Abstract

The subject of the invention relates to a device for monitoring the obligatory wearing of seatbelts in motor vehicles. It consists firstly of the combination of a safety switch 3 actuated by the weight of the occupant of the seat, then an interruptor 1 placed between the lock and the catch of the belt (combination reproduced a second time for the second front seat) and finally of a time-delay relay 5 with an audible and visual signalling means delaying the stopping of the engine after removing the seatbelt or fault in the circuit.
