Abstract
The present invention relates to a device for accurately assembling optical components in predetermined positions, applicable especially to interferometers. This device is characterised in that the optical components 1, 2 of prismatic or cylindrical shape are machined so as to each have two opposite lateral faces 1b, 1c; 2b, 2c which are parallel to each other, perfectly polished and located at the same distance from each other, and these optical components 1, 2 are sandwiched between two base elements 3, 4 made in the same material as the optical components 1, 2, the two base elements 3, 4 being applied with pressure on the lateral faces of the optical components 1, 2 by molecular adhesion, with the result that the two base elements 3, 4 and the optical components 1, 2 sandwiched between them constitute a monolithic block.
