Le socle comporte un trou 6, destiné au passage de la fiche de terre de la prise de courant , deux trous 7, 8 pour le passage des broches de la fiche à brancher,donc disposés à 900 de part et d'autre du trou 6,et un trou 10 pour le passage de l'axe de rotation du masque 2.Au voisinage de chacun des trous 7, 8, à 250 par exemple est prévu un plot 71, 81, de section circulaire, légèrement inférieure à celle du trou de la prise de courant. Chaque plot est formé à l'extrémité d'un bras 72, 82 disposé de façon à s'élever angulairement par rapport au plan du socle, sur la face opposée à la face adhérente.
