On a déjà proposé , par exemple dans FR-A-1.182.642, d'utiliser une bille comme organe applicateur de rouge à lèvres. Dans ce document toutefois on a proposé de sertir la bille dans une cuvette dans laquelle débouche, par un orifice de section relativement réduite, le tube dans lequel est logé le rouge à lèvres. Pour que le rouge à lèvres puisse arriver au contact de la bille en passant par cet orifice, on a proposé d'utiliser un rouge rendu légèrement pâteux et filandreux et de le pousser par un ressort à spirales dont les spires coopèrent, lors de la rotation du ressort, avec les parois du tube à la manière d'un filet de vis pour pousser le rouge.
