Abstract

The plant comprises a storage tank (1) full of salt crystals and a storage tank (11) for the brine, through which the water flows in succession. Water percolates upwards through a bed of salt crystals (3) to form a supernatant layer (10) which then overflows through pipe (9) to brine storage tank (11) from which it is drawn off as required by pump (17) and discharged via valve (16). Valve (21) on brine tank (11) is for taking of samples e.g. for analysis. If brine strength is insufficient, the brine may be recirculated via recycle line (19) (20) and non-return valve (26) back to the sparge in the salt tank (1).

- une conduite alimentant la dite rampe au travers d'une vanne régulatrice du débit d'eau afin de garantir un certain temps de passage de l'eau dans la cuve avant qu'elle ne gagne le trop-plein,
- piquée à la base du réservoir clos, une conduite de prélèvement de la saumure présente dans ce réservoir.
