Abstract

The container uses a single lid (1) to seal two separate storage volumes (7,11), without the necessity for a U-section annular connector. It is used e.g. to store the components of a two pack paint. The lid comprises a flat disc with a U-section edge (2,3,4) terminating in a rolled rib (5), with the external flange (4) slightly inclined to the vertical. The groove (2) formed by the disc edge locates the externally shoulded (9) bottom edge of an upper container (7), and forms a joining boss which fits inside the top edge of a bottom container. The inclined flange deflects as the boss enters into the bottom container, thus securing the shoulder of the upper container.
