Abstract

The top cap is for use with pharmaceutical products, normally in a container with an elastomer stopper. It consists of a capsule which is pre-cut annularly near its central part and a disc. The disc diameter is roughly equal to that of the capsule and is fixed to its central part. The capsule centre projects and is pre-cut near the edge of the central part. The disc has an opening to allow the central part to pass. Disc and capsule are assembled by flattening the centre part on the opening edge.
