Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the construction of high power transformers.
The magnetic circuits are assembled for high power transformers by placing a number of steel sheets for magnetic circuit so as to form a lower magnetic circuit yoke and branches of the magnetic circuit, in the horizontal plane.
When it is necessary to assemble a three-phase magnetic circuit, the three branches are assembled and the lower yoke which couples the three branches, in a stack of steel sheets for magnetism circuit which are linked together by any means among several, such as for example by the use of a strip of glass fibers impregnated with epoxy. The assembly of the branches and of the lower yoke of the magnetic circuit is then lifted in the vertical position, to facilitate the assembly of the transformer windings around each of the branches of the magnetic circuit. Once the transformer windings are in place, completes the magnetic circuit of the transformer by placing the steel sheets for the magnetic circuit of the upper yoke and fixing the sheets together using a clamping structure. The installation of a set of steel sheets for magnetic circuit on the assembly of the partially completed magnetic circuit is a difficult and time-consuming task, which must be carried out in the last stages of the manufacture of the transformer. It is therefore desirable to be able to limit the time necessary to assemble the breech plates of the magnetic circuit, at a time in the manufacturing process of the transformer at which the transformer is almost finished. The invention aims to provide a method and means for assembling the upper yoke of the magnetic circuit in the form of a single assembly, with a significant reduction in the time and cost of assembly.
In a process of assembling a magnetic transformer circuit, a certain number of added elements are used between the sheets of the upper yoke and the sheets of the branches of the magnetic circuit. The added elements allow the upper yoke to be removed from the magnetic circuit in the form of a single assembly, to facilitate the positioning of the transformer windings on the branches of the magnetic circuit. The assembly that constitutes the yoke of the magnetic circuit is reassembled and the added elements are replaced to complete the magnetic circuit of the transformer.

FIG. 1 shows a magnetic transformer circuit 10 which contains a certain number of steel sheets for magnetic circuit 11 which may consist of steel sheets for magnetic circuit arranged in a three-phase configuration comprising three branches of magnetic circuit 12 and upper and lower cylinder heads 13A, 13B. A pair of magnetic circuit windows, 14 are defined between the magnetic circuit branches 12 and the yokes 13A, 13B to allow the installation of three transformer windings. In the corners, defined by the plane lA-lA between the branches 12 and the upper yoke 13A, are inserted a number of added elements 16, shown in FIG. 1A. Stacked sheets 11 are arranged so that the sheets 11 of a pair of sheets out of two in the stack come into contact with each other at a junction 15. An insert 16 consisting of a length of steel sheet for magnetic circuit having a thickness equal to that of a sheet 11 individual, is placed between the sheets 11 opposite, as indicated. The insert 16 can easily be removed from the stack of sheets 11 once the stack has been completed. The insert 16 performs two important functions, namely to allow the separation of the upper yoke 13A with respect to the branches of the magnetic circuit 12, and to prevent the junctions 15 from being directly aligned on each sheet 11 in the stack. boundaries 15 prevent the occurrence of eddy current losses between sheets 11 placed one on top of the other in the stack and establishes a path at the joint for the transfer of magnetic flux between the yokes 13 and the branches 12. For the assembly of the magnetic circuit 10, shown in FIG. 1, there are a number of sheets 11 so as to form the lower yoke 13B and the branches 12. The sheets of the magnetic circuit 11 are placed so that their large dimensions are in a horizontal plane, so that the magnetic circuit 10 can be raised to bring it into the vertical position shown in FIG. 1, once it has been assembled. that the branches 12 and the lower yoke 13B have been assembled, they are tightened or they are mechanically linked by the installation of a certain number of turns of a strip of glass fibers 17 impregnated with a thermosetting epoxy resin (Figure 4), or by means of a magnetic circuit clamp. The upper cylinder head 13A containing a certain number of added elements 16 is linked or tightened only in its central part and does not, for example, include any strip of glass fibers near the junction between the upper cylinder head 13A and the branches 12. On then removes the inserts 16 to allow the upper cylinder head 13A to be removed in the form of a single assembly. As described above, the upper cylinder head 13A according to the prior art was not assembled at the time of assembly of the lower yoke 13B and branches 12, in order to allow the transformer winding 18 to be put in place (FIG. 5) around the magnetic circuit labranie 12. Then the sheets 11 used to form the upper yoke 13A were introduced individually, after the installation of the transformer winding 18, to complete the magnetic circuit 10.
FIG. 2 shows a single-phase configuration for a magnetic transformer circuit 10 comprising two brar; ches 12 and upper and lower yokes, 13A, 13B, consisting of sheets 11 and defining a magnetic circuit window 14. The upper yoke 13A and the lower cylinder head 13B may consist of a single structure, instead of the two-part structure of the upper and lower cylinder heads 13A, 13B shown previously in FIG. 2. Inserts 16 are arranged between the ends of the upper cylinder head 13A and of the branches magnetic circuit 12, in a manner identical to that shown in Figure 1.
The configuration of the magnetic circuit 10 shown in Figure 1 is shown in enlarged isometric projection in Figure 3. To distinguish with the completed magnetic circuit 10 which is shown in Figure 1, denoted by 10 'the magnetic circuit shown in FIG. 3. Due to the fact that several types of sheets 11 are used in the magnetic circuit 10 ′, the sheets which form the branches of the magnetic circuit are designated by llL, the sheets which form the upper yoke are designated by îlYT designates by llYB the sheets which form the lower cylinder head.
Due to the fact that the upper cylinder head 13A of FIG. 1 has to be removed, the added elements 16 are shown in FIG. 3 only in association with the sheets llYT of the upper cylinder head. It is possible to incorporate added elements 16 between the sheets ILYL of the lower cylinder head and the sheets IIL of the branches, if it is desired to remove the lower cylinder head 13B (FIG. 1). The inserts 16 are incorporated in the corner formed between a sheet llL of a branch of the magnetic circuit and an adjacent sheet ilYT of the upper yoke of the magnetic circuit, and this at the two corners. Once the magnetic circuit 10 'is completed , a clamping structure or a strip of glass fibers 17 impregnated with epoxy resin is used to mechanically fix the sheets llYB of the lower yoke, the sheets llL of the branches of the magnetic circuit and the sheets ilYT of the upper yoke. It is also possible to apply epoxy resin to the edges of the ilyT, llYB sheets of the cylinder heads, to avoid displacement. Once the mechanical connection is made, the magnetic circuit 10 'becomes a completed magnetic transformer circuit, 10, and it is lifted to bring it to its vertical position shown in FIG. 4.
To remove the upper yoke 13A from the magnetic transformer circuit 10, the added elements 16 are removed and the upper yoke 13A from the magnetic circuit 10 is separated into a single assembly. The connecting strip 17, made of glass fibers and impregnated with epoxy resin, keeps the magnetic circuit branches 12 and the bottom yoke 13B fixedly fixed. Transformer windings 18 are then centered around the branches 12 and the upper yoke 13A is reassembled by bringing the latter into contact with the transformer branches 12 and by reintroducing the added elements 16 which then become a mechanical part of the magnetic circuit 10 and which established feels a magnetic connection between the individual sheets 11.
FIG. 5 shows a completed magnetic circuit 10, with the windings 18 surrounding the magnetic circuit branches 12 and with the upper and lower yokes 13B held firmly in place. The inserts 16 fulfill a useful function in the case where the windings 18 become damaged during the life of the transformer and must be removed for replacement and / or repair. The added elements 16 are then removed and the upper yoke 13A is removed in a single assembly, without damaging the magnetic circuit 10.
FIG. 6 shows another configuration for added elements 16 which are fixed together to form an assembly of added elements, 16 '. As described above for the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, adjacent pairs of sheets 11 meet at a joint 15 and the superposed joints 15 are not located directly above one another, to avoid eddy current losses. The set of inserts 16 ′ can define a configuration of stepped magnetic circuit joints in which successive layers of sheets 11 are offset by a fixed increment to further reduce losses in the magnetic circuit. the set of added elements 16 ′, as shown in FIG. 6, gives the magnetic circuit 10 a precise configuration with overlapping in steps, by establishing a stop for each individual sheet 11, which leads to the configuration shown.
The assembly of added elements 16 ′ is introduced into the magnetic circuit of the transformer in a manner similar to that described above for the configuration shown in FIG. 4, and this assembly is represented in a similar mounting configuration in FIG. 7 The set of added elements 16 ′ is shown both in place inside the magnetic transformer circuit 10, and before its insertion into the magnetic circuit 10, to show the step configuration of the individual sheets 11.
In the prior art, the assembly of the upper yoke 13A was deferred until the transformer windings 18 are installed on the magnetic circuit 10, and the assembly of the magnetic circuit sheets 11 to form the upper yoke 13A was then carried out during a later phase of the transformer manufacturing process, after an already significant accumulation of time and work. From the point of view of the manufacturing cost, the use of a certain number of added elements 16 making it possible to form the upper yoke 13A by the assembly of sheets 11 during the initial phases of the manufacturing process of the transformer, presents a great interest and is very desirable. The reassembly of the upper cylinder head 13A, in a single assembly, during the subsequent stages of manufacture of the transformer, is a relatively simple procedure which does not require significant manufacturing time.
