Abstract

The frame is constructed from rectangular or trapezoidal section plastics or wood strips. Each longitudinal face of the frame has a groove (2,4). The material to be fixed and stretched is laid over the frame and a wedge is forced into the groove, gripping the material. The material may be fixed and stretched at the same time and, due to the continuous fixing, sagging is eliminated. The frame also forms the finished border of the workpiece.
