Abstract

The device controls on operating switch of a machine between one of two positions such as operating and inactive and has a barrel (3) located in a cylinder (11) and rotatable between two angular extreme positions. The barrel has a groove cam surface (4) extending peripherally around a portion of the barrel circumference and engaging one end of a switch actuator rod (2) projecting diametrically into the cylinder. Rotation of the barrel moves the rod between two extreme axial positions. The barrel also has two axial locking grooves (5,6) in its periphery, the respective depths of the grooves being set at the depth of the extreme ends of the cam groove. This enables the rod to be locked in either axial position by withdrawing the barrel and reinserting it with the rod projecting into the selected locking groove.
