Abstract

The ship gathers oil (3) or other pollutant from the surface of the sea, takes in contaminated sea water, effects the sepn. of the oil by filtering and siphoning, and pumps the oil into storage tanks (19). The pump (13) is operated by compressed air, using suction to effect oil intake, and using a force stroke to move the oil to tanks (19). A partially louvred (5) opening (4) in an inclined and isolated deck area (1) may be used to gather contaminated waters, being washed over by waves, or being fed by scoop (2). Inclined panels (6,7,8) may lead the water intake through filters (9,10) and siphon (11), with the oil slick over-flowing into pump (13) well (12).

Description

Description

The present invention relates to naval or prevention vessels, specialized in the fight against accidental pollution.

Currently the technique has pumps which do not always have the desired efficiency, on the one hand by the viscosity of the product, on the other hand by the volume of water to be eliminated. The sheets are very thin and the environment is unfavorable.

The device according to the invention makes it possible to avoid these drawbacks. In this it is possible to eliminate the water, to concentrate the product, to pump it by suction and discharge, to store it on autonomous buildings.

The device which is the subject of the invention comprises a platform for recovering the sheet. It carries at its end an eastern pickup shovel and slats whose inclination allows a first filtering job. L'autombe falls on an inoline plane and will flow quickly, passing through appropriate grids to be filtered and 8 'to flow by gravitation into the environment. The product caught in a turbulence will form a floating sheet which will accumulate in a recovery tank to be pumped and stored there by suction and discharge.
