Abstract

The moulded rigid panel has two parallel faces, with one flat to be placed on sections of wood or masonry. The other has a channelled profile to support covering tiles. The two faces have flat profiles (2, 3), or concave. The parallel sides of the channels in one fence have a section (13) at an angle to the face of the channel. The material can have good mechanical properties but poor thermal conductivity.

Description

The subject of the invention is a panel intended to serve as a support for roofing elements such as tiles, slates or the like. It more particularly relates to a support panel for such roofing elements which is self-supporting and acts simultaneously as a thermal insulation member.

We know that the roofs of buildings are usually supported by a frame and that the roofing elements are supported or are fixed on battens of this frame. However, wooden frames are becoming more and more expensive, on the one hand, because of the constantly increasing cost of excellent quality wood that carpenters have to use, on the other hand, due to the high costs of one hand. very specialized work.

The invention aims to remedy this drawback by proposing a panel, prefabricated or produced on the very place of employment, which can bear directly on the masonry of a building and / or on purlins and which can serve as a support for roofing elements, without the need to use slats, rafters and joists.

To this end, the invention relates to a rigid panel in a molded material, characterized in that it comprises two substantially parallel faces, one being smooth and intended to bear on masonry or structural elements of one building, and the other having a grooved profile making it suitable as a support for roofing elements.

In this statement of the invention, the term "parallel" should not be limited to its geometric meaning, that is to say to the parallelism of two planar surfaces, but it also includes separate curved and / or non-planar surfaces from each other at any point by a substantially constant distance.

By grooves is meant an alternation of parallel projecting parts, on which the covering elements bear and / or are fixed, and of hollow parts forming grooves, which separate them and are covered by these covering elements. The section of these grooves and these projecting parts may be any and adapted according to the desired goal (ventilation under the covering elements, interposition of pipes or electrical wires between these elements and the panels etc ...).

Due to the fact that it directly rests on the masonry elements of the construction, such a panel gives off a large free space under the roof, which does not obstruct the joists or rafters and which can thus be easily fitted out in attic rooms, as far as the substantially flat surface of the panel can directly receive a paint or a tapestry, and that the pipes, as indicated above, can be arranged outside, while being protected by the covering elements.

Outside, the work of roofers will be facilitated, since they will be able to lean directly on the panel to rest the tiles or slates there and to possibly fix these.

Naturally, such a panel can also be fixed laterally on the walls of a building, to also receive covering elements, which thus protect it from rain or spray, while serving as decorative elements in vertical covering.

Preferably, such a panel will be made of a material having excellent mechanical strength, so as to be self-supporting, but having poor thermal conduction characteristics, in order to contribute to the thermal insulation of the building. Advantageously, a lightened concrete will be used for this purpose, such as aerated concrete, concrete containing vermiculite, glass beads or expanded polystyrene or any other moldable material, the panel being able to be molded on the premises itself. or prefabricated.

The panel according to the invention will preferably comprise an internal metallic reinforcement, for example a welded and galvanized wire mesh.

According to an edge parallel to the grooves, the panel according to the invention may include a part forming an obtuse angle with the main faces of the panel, this part being intended to be placed horizontally to form a flake when the panel is arranged in roof.

The accompanying drawings, which are not limiting, represent a panel according to the invention in its application to the production of a support for roofing elements. On these drawings
Figure 1 is a schematic view of the panel along one of its sections t
Figure 2 illustrates the support of the panel on a ridge fault
Figure 3 shows the panel pressing on an intermediate fault 1
Figure 4 shows the part of the panel that rests on a wall of the building.

The panel 1 shown in the drawings has two substantially parallel faces, 2 and 3, the face 2 being flat and smooth, while the face 3 has grooves 4 separated by raised parts 5, defining grooves 0
As can be seen in FIGS. 2 to 4, the grooves in the panel make it possible, when the latter is inclined to form a roof support, to hang on and, if necessary, to fix using points 6 (FIG. 4), in the same way as on traditional battens, roofing elements such as tiles 7.

As shown, the panels according to the invention make it possible to eliminate the traditional rafters and joists, since they only bear, by one of their sides, on a ridge purlin 8 (FIG. 2), by their central part , on an intermediate fault 9 (Figure 3) and by their other side, on a load-bearing wall 10 (Figure 4).

A chain system such as 11, passing over pins 12 of the edge of the panels, of the ends of the purlins and of the wall 10, makes it possible to make these panels rigidly integral with the construction.

According to one of their edges parallel to the grooves, the panels I shown have a part 13 making an obtuse angle with the face 2. This part 13 is intended to be arranged horizontally (FIG. 4) to form a chanlat, on which bear on the gutter 14 of the roof and the lower row of tiles 7, raised, in the usual way, by a half-tile 7 ', sealed with mortar 15 on the edge.

It can be seen that the panels, once installed on the purlins, without an intermediate frame, give off optimum space for an attic or attic rooms. It will also be noted that the flat lower faces 2 of the panels are ready to receive a priming paper or a paint.

The panels can be made of any suitable material. As indicated above, they will normally be made of cement or concrete, but, to lighten them and give them a lesser thickness, for example to repair traditional roofs by building on existing rafters, they can be made of fiber cement, plastic cement, prepainted sheet etc ...

As already indicated, the invention is not limited to panels having faces with a flat profile, but it is also possible by simple molding of panels with curved profile, suitable for covering turrets, seated dogs, etc. .
