Abstract

The turbine which may be used in flowing water or driven by air power or gases, has a circle of adjustable blades (1 to 6) mounted between circular end plates. Each blade can be rotated about an axis through its centre, and the blades rotate the end plates about an axis through their centre. Each blade is tilted about its axis to be at its most favourable angle when in line with the maximum force of the flow acting against it. This flow force can be increased by a guide plate at the entry side. Mounted on the end of each blade axis is a gear pinion which meshes with other pinions to form a gear train to control the angle of tilt of the blades during rotation.

La présente invention concerne un modèle de turbine à pales orientables,dite à double effet,pouvant travailler dans des fluides à vitesse relativement faible,avec un maximum de rendement. The present invention relates to a turbine model with steerable blades, called double-acting, which can work in fluids at relatively low speed, with maximum efficiency.

Ce couple vient,par les pignons,s'ajouter au couple provoqué par l'incidence me des pales.

La turbine peut ètre intégrée dans une conduite forcée,ce qui augmente la pression et la vitesse.A noter qu'il est préférablespar un déflecteur,de canaliser le flux vers les pales qui offrent la plus grande incidence.(an bas sur les fig.l et 4)
Elle peut fonctionner dans toute les positions-.En position verticale,les pales peuvent s'orienter à l'aide d'un gouvernail agissant sur le pignon central qui,n'étant pas solidaire de l'axe,agit sur l'orientation relative des pales.Le gouvernail est muni d'un dispositif mécanique ou électrique permettant de faire varier son incidence en cas de surcharge du fluide,ou de l'appareil d'utilisation.
