Abstract

The elements comprising the frame are assembled during manufacture by use of a jig assembly of profiled elements. This allows the assembly to be rapidly and precisely performed. The frame assembly jig comprises a frame in the form of an irregular polygon on one arm of which is a bracket to support the pedal shaft housing. A shaft passing through two sides with reinforcing plates allows the handle bar and wheel fork section of the frame to be supported. A threaded clamp screw ensures that the position is maintained. The rear wheel bracket is retained by a dummy shaft on a bracket mounted on the jig by a bolt. A notched shaft with clamp positions the seat tube.
