Abstract

The back boiler consists of two fixed side plates (2), one each side of the fireolace. Each plate carries a hollow inlet box (3) at the base and a hollow outlet box (4) at the top. A removable hollow element (6) has openings (7,8) which correspond to the openings in the boxes (4,3) respectively. A number of elements (6) are connected together using screwed bushes (9) to form a continuous back boiler between the two fixed side plates. The back boiler may be used as a warm air unit with cool air entering at the bottom and heated air returning to the room at the toop. It may also be adapted for hot water circulation.
