Abstract

The machine is employed to mfr. either moulds or cores, and consists of a set of turntables which rotate on a vertical axis. At least one loading turntable is used together with a shooting turntable, a gassing turntable, and a turntable on which the moulds or cores are extracted; transfer turntables are also included. The rotation of the turntables is synchronised, so all the core- or moulding- boxes travel at a constant linear speed; and each turntable is employed to carry box frames with the same external size and shape, and in which two core box halves can be located. The box frames can easily be replaced on the loading turntable. Output is much higher, and maintenance is much easier than with an earlier maching described in FR 2170828; all leakage of toxic gases is prevented by hermetic seals.
