Abstract

The TV receiver has a tuner and IF stages in screened metal housing to avoid interference. The tuner (2) and IF stages (3) are combined and housed in a complete metal units (1) which is internally partitioned (4, 5, 6, 7) with metal to provide further screening to individual circuits. The tuner (2) being screened from filters (8) and amplifier (9) of the quasi-parallel type. The metal unit (1) has further internal metal screen partitions (13-21), for the UHF input stage (22, 23, 24), the band filter (25) and the mixer stage (26) individually. VHF received signals are fed through VHF input stages (27, 28), band filters (29) and mixers (31) again in separate screen compartments (14, 15, 17 etc). A phase regulator (32) is also separately screened (5, 6, 7) in the main unit (1).
