Abstract

The grinding disc (2) is used on a power-sander (1) which has vacuum extraction. It has radial air ducts (15) leading to an axial gathering chamber (6, 12). The disc is demountable and secured to a threaded drive shaft. The unit may comprise frontal (17) and rear discs (23), the former having a dished centre zone (18), and one or other of the discs incorporating approximately radial (24, 25) ribs. The rear disc may be annular defining the chamber (6), and the ribs may taper to provide uniformly wide ducts. Alternative ribs (25) may be curtailed to effect an increase in duct numbers.
