Abstract

The safety belt anchorage is intended for vehicles fitted with seats which fold forwards. It comprises a bar or strip (20) of flexible none-extending material, one end (24) being strengthened and bent at 120 deg. (alpha) to form a floor mounted pivot and the other end carrying the belt clamp unit. The pivot is formed by a shouldered bolt (28) fixed through a reinforcing plate (35) into the floor (22). This engages a hole (29) in the flattened end (24a) of the anchorage bar or strip, enabling it to turn up to 90 deg. about the pivot, in a horizontal plane (26).
