ON OPERE ENTRE 100 ET 400C, SOUS ATMOSPHERE D'HYDROGENE, EN PRESENCE D'UN CATALYSEUR SOLIDE, CONTENANT DU PALLADIUM ET EVENTUELLEMENT DU NICKEL. LE MELANGE D'ISOMERES LIQUIDE, OBTENU, CONVIENT COMME COMBUSTIBLE DE GRANDE ENERGIE POUR FUSEES.CATALYTIC ISOMERIZATION OF ENDO TETRAHYDRODIMETHYL-DICYCLOPENTADIENE WITH TRANSFORMATION OF AT LEAST PART OF IT INTO EXO ISOMER. THE OPERATION IS BETWEEN 100 AND 400C, UNDER A HYDROGEN ATMOSPHERE, IN THE PRESENCE OF A SOLID CATALYST, CONTAINING PALLADIUM AND POSSIBLY NICKEL. THE MIXTURE OF LIQUID ISOMERS OBTAINED IS SUITABLE AS A HIGH ENERGY FUEL FOR ROCKETS.
