Abstract
The connection for two insulated cables comprises an inner sleeve of conducting material designed to fit over the two ends of the conductors to be joined. This is surrounded by an insulating sleeve which extends beyond the ends of the conducting sleeve. The insulating sleeve reaches beyond the bared portions of the two conductors so as to completely enclose the connection. It is then fastened to the cable insulation. The whole connector is crimped to make the conducting sleeve grip the conductors, and grease is used to fill any remaining space inside.
