Abstract

Procédé de fabrication d'un système d'étanchéité pour un arbre en rotation qui comprend un élément d'étanchéité tournant avec ledit arbre et un élément d'étanchéité fixe dont les surfaces planes opposées forment un joint d'étancheité, caractérisé en ce que lesdits éléments d'étanchéité sont soumis à un traitement thermique afin de provoquer des déformations permanentes, ce traitement thermique entraînant, pour lesdits éléments d'étanchéité, des contraintes qui sont égales ou supérieures aux contraintes auxquelles lesdits éléments sont soumis pendant le fonctionnement, et en ce qu'ensuite on donne aux surfaces d'étanchéité opposées desdits éléments une finition de précision.
