Abstract

The tank is a platics blow-moulding inside a (glass-)fibre-reinforced plastics jacket. It is mfd. by placing a tempered, hot blow-moulding into a press-mould in which it is cooled to within the range, pref. below, the lowest operating temp. (sic). When cooled it is wound with a fibrous layer. Specifically, tempering is effected at 150 degrees C and cooling down to 0 degree C. There is no risk of the windings moving w.r.t. the plastics blow-moulding. Tendency of the tank to develope cracks is minimised. No embrittlement by "ageing" occurs.
