Abstract

A connector is used for multi-strand conductors. The connector allows direct contact to a fixed terminal between two or more similar conductors. The outer insulating sheath (21) of the conductor is stripped off (22) for a short distance, the conductor then being threaded into a copper lined insulating cylinder (19, 14), this is held in position by a surrounding helical spring (15) within an outer cylinder (1). The opposite end of the cylinder has a fixed tapered contact (4) pointing inward against which the cable end is pressed by allowing the spring to move the inner cylinder forward towards it.
