Abstract

The support pad (1) for railway track points has a rigid tough top surface (6A) that supports the rail during the passage of a train and a second rolling surface (6B) that supports the rail in the absence of a load. The support rail moves on friction rollers (8) which rotate about the axis (9) which is solidly fixed to the elastic steel sheet (12). The rollers carry the support rail by a steel sheet (16) on the bottom face of the rail, the sheet having descending cheeks which protect the rollers.
