Abstract

Ce dispositif de refroidissement est destiné à compléter ou à remplacer le ventilateur qui force l'air à travers le radiateur dans les constructions habituelles. Il utilise des pales 38 montées sur la coquille 34 du convertisseur de couple et qui tournent dans un carter 36. Le ventilateur ainsi constitué aspire l'air dans une gaine 18 dont l'entrée est placée contre la face amère du radiateur 16 et le refoule à l'extérieur. Lorsque le véhicule roule à une vitesse suffisante pour faire traverser le radiateur par un flux d'air engendre par le vent relatif, des volets 58, 60, se rabattent vers l'axe de la gaine pour laisser l'air sortir de cette dernière par des ouvertures 50, 52, sans être aspiré par les pâles 38.
