Abstract

A protection circuit is for use with general equipment, providing detection of leakage currents in the ground line. The detector circuit operates continually and requires a DC supply. Detection is base on two entirely separate circuits operating in a parallel and connected such that they operate in the reverse sense relative to each other. Each such circuit includes a diode bridge, switching and a transistorised cut-out. The bridge is connected between the equipment and ground operation is such that if one of the circuits fails the other is activated.
