Abstract

The TV deflection coil assembly includes an annular core (1) with a toroidal winding wound from a flat strip (12) consisting of conductors(16) joined together side-by-side. The strip is wound in grooves formed by ribs (9) on the cathode end of the core and by ribs (7) on the other end. The individual wires (16) may have lacquer coatings which insulate the wires from one another and also connect the wires together in strip form. After winding is completed the wires are connected in series, e.g. via a small printed circuit panel.
