Abstract
Suivant ce procédé d'assemblage du couvercle et du corps d'un fût on dépose une première couche de matière d'étanchéité sous la collerette du couvercle b, on laisse le caoutchouc ouvrir au moins partiellement c, on applique la collerette du couvercle sur celle du fût, d on roule le bord de la collerette du couvercle, puis e en même temps on projette une deuxième couche de matière de joint de manière quelle se raccorde à la première couche. Le joint serti final comprend plusieurs épaisseurs de métal des collerettes roulées ensemble et qui alternent avec des couches de matière d'étanchéité. Ce joint reste étanche même en cas de déplacement relatif des collerettes qui le constituent, la présence des couches de matière d'étanchéité facilitant les déplacement relatifs en cas de choc accidentel.
