Abstract
The collector has a plate (10) cast in refractory concrete in a series of undulations forming a line of parallel gutters (11). A sheet of transparent material (28) is fixed over the crests (27) of the undulations to enclose the gutters. A copper tube (9) with horizontal fins (16) is placed in each gutter and located in it by the ends of the fins which rest on the sloping sides of the gutter. The tube and fins are painted black.
