Abstract

The collector has a set of tubes (3) running parallel to each other and connected at their ends into headers (4) running transversely to them. This assembly is held within a rectangular frame (1) which has an insulated base, insulated sides and a transparent top. The tubes (3) pass through a set of thin metal sheets (5) placed perpendicularly to the tubes. The sheets have holes through which the tubes pass and the holes are a tight fit to the tubes.
