Abstract

The torsion transmitting coupling has longitudinal torsion loaded body by supporting and driving at one end of its longitudinal axis. The other end has an axial driven coupling part. When the driven part torque exceeds a certain valve the coupling is automatically sepd. The driving coupling continues to rotate and damage is prevented. The torque transmitting housing encloses the driving coupling part (17). A movable adapter (45) ensures axial position of driven rotating parts. This adaptor has a number of connected projections. The driving coupling part (17) moves freely in relation to the adaptor mechanism (45) and the driven part.
