Abstract

L'invention concerne des modes avantageux de traitement de déchets de zinc (cendres et mattes) pour récupérer et réutiliser le zinc qu'ils contiennent. Les déchets oxydés sont broyés, soumis à un tri granulométrique et dissous dans une solution alcaline par formation d'une pile à corrosion dans laquelle les déchets constituent l'anode soluble, tandis que la cathode est constituée par le matériau de la cuve de la pile, la solution ainsi réalisée étant ensuite électrolysée pour récupérer le zinc. Le procédé selon l'invention permet de récupérer une fraction importante du zinc contenu dans les déchets oxydés par un simple traitement mécanique.
