Abstract

Réacteur nucléaire refroidi par un métal liquide, comportant une cuve principale ouverte à axe vertical, contenant le métal liquide, et une cuve interne montée dans la cuve principale et prolongée par un redan transversal présentant un bord rabattu raccordé à la cuve principale ou à une structure liée à cette cuve, ce redan étant traversé par des viroles permettant le passage étanche de corps de pompes et d'échangeurs de chaleur répartis autour du coeur du réacteur. Selon l'invention, le redan est associé à un baffle s'étendant au-dessus de ce redan et délimitant avec celui-ci un espace contenant un volume quasi-statique formant écran thermique entre le métal liquide chaud dans la cuve interne au-dessus du baffle et le métal liquide froid entre la cuve interne et la cuve principale sous le redan. Application aux réacteurs à neutrons rapides.
