Abstract

A multiple flow peristaltic pump has a rotor (1) consisting of several discs mounted side by side. Each disc carries a number of small rollers equally spaced around its periphery. The rotor (1) is fitted in a casing which supports a group of flexible tubes (8), each tube passing around the rollers of a corresponding disc. The number of tubes (8) being used for pumping can be varied by means of ball catches in the bore of the shaft (30). These catches enable any or all of the individual discs to be driven from the shaft.
