Abstract

A reversible heat pump transfers heat between an outdoor air refrigerant heat exchanger and an indoor water refrigerant heat exchanger. In winter the indoor exchanger heats the water and in summer it cools it. The water is circulated by a pump through the exchanger to a large thermally insulated store. A separate pump circulates the water from the store through a water to air heat exchanger. A mixture of fresh and recycled air is blown over this and delivered to the space being treated.
