Abstract

The ground anchorage may be used for pylon-stays(10) and terminals in a bulb which is formed by cement grout injected under pressure. The anchorage is formed by first boring a hole (1) and inserting a tie bar (3) with an intermediate diaphragm plate. The plate has a secondary hole for a gouting tube(5). The top sector(6) of the bore is then plugged with mortar, and finally grout is injected into the bulb. The head of the tie-bar may be coupled(9) to the foot of the stay, and the tie-bars of mult-bar anchorages may converge on a reinforced concrete capping block.
