Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé pour fabriquer un guide de lumière formé par une fibre de verre. Selon ce procédé permettant d'accroître la résistance à la traction de la fibre, on dépose sur l'enveloppe d'une préforme de la fibre ou sur ladite-fibre au moins une couche protectrice en un verre dont le coefficient de dilatation thermique est plus faible que celui du verre adjacent de la fibre. Application notamment aux systèmes de transmission optique d'informations.
