Abstract
The water heater, using a solar heater as one heat source, allows the simultaneous heating of water containing glycol for a central heating system and fresh water for other domestic uses. The system includes a tank filled with water plus glycol which is in a closed circuit with the radiators, the solar heater and an expansion tank. Within the tank fresh water is heated as it passes through a coil fed by a second circuit. The heat is produced partly by the solar heater and partly by a traditional heat source such as electric heaters in the tank.
