Abstract

The heat pump includes two compressors (1A, 1B) connected to the condenser (7) by means of a three way valve (5), and connected to the liquid separator (11) and evaporator (10) by means of the three way valve (3). An expansion valve (9) is controlled by the temperature sensor (13). The motors driving the compressors are controlled by a temperature sensitive switch in the air flowing from the condenser (7). This switch is connected to a circuit which alternately activates one or other of the compressors and at the same time actuates the valves (3, 5) to suit the flow of the refrigerant.
