Abstract

Procédé de préparation d'oxyde de propylène à partir de propylèneglycol. On chauffe à des températures de 300 à 500 degrés C du 1,2-propylèneglycol ou des mélanges qui renferment, en plus de 1,2-propylèneglycol des monoesters et, le cas échéant, des diesters d'acides carboxyliques de bas poids moléculaire et de propylène-glycol, en phase gazeuse, sous des pressions de 0,01 à 1 bar, en présence d'un catalyseur formé d'un composant faiblement acide auquel on ajoute un composé alcalin basique.
