Abstract

The rail (1) extending in the direction of motion of a vehicle window (9) and a guide (6) mounted on the rail (1) by fastening (23) moving on it, and forming a window support (12), is part of the window winding mechanism. An endless belt (22) fixed to the guide (6) and controlled by sprocketed drive roller (21) passes over a roller (24) placed at the ends of rails (1). The belt is partly controlled by a groove (5) in a sheet member (4) with rails (4) on which the grooved wheels (11) run. The belt (22) is tensioned by a spring loaded jockey roller (32) with springs (38) mounted on stirrup (39). Roller (21) is driven by electric motor (15) through shaft (16). The motor (15) is mounted on plate (13) by fastenings (14). The motor moves the roller (21) which moves the belt (22) and so moves the glass up or down. This is carried at angles (12) of a carriage (6) which moves on guide (1). The whole is mounted within the vehicle door.
